I've been sick.
I got a nasty stomach virus from my 11 month-old niece and it, basically, took over my life.
I should have a new post up tomorrow or Saturday!

Book #1- The Truth About Forever
Back Cover Summary:
Sixteen-year-old Macy Queen is looking forward to a long, boring summer. Her boyfriend is going away. She’s stuck with a dull-as-dishwater job at the library. And she’ll spend all of her free time studying for the SATs or grieving silently with her mother over her father’s recent unexpected death. But everything changes when Macy is corralled into helping out at one of her mother’s open house events, and she meets the chaotic Wish Catering crew. Before long, Macy joins the Wish team. She loves everything about, the work and the people. But the best thing about Wish is Wes—artistic, insightful, and understanding Wes—who gets Macy to look at life in a whole new way, and really start living it.
My Review:
In high school, I LOVED Sarah Dessen's books. I owned a lot of them, but I misplaced or lost them when I moved to my current house 7 years ago. This is one of the ones that I still have. I always fall in love with the characters and this book was no exception to the rule. The summaries on the back are never really great, you have to actually read the book and get to know the characters and you'll feel the connection that I do. I laugh and cry with them like I'm really living in the book world.
Wes and Kristy are my favorite characters by far.
I love Wes's honesty and loyalty, Kristy's outspokenness and wit, Monica's insight, Delia's all-over-the-place business practices, and Bert's--well-- Bert. I wanted to grab Macy and shake her sometimes, but her naivete is what makes her so realistic.
Overall:
I give this book 4 stars out of 5!
Well I'm a little late but...
I've been adding books to my iBooks library and I've decided that I'm going to read 100 books by the end of the year.
I also plan on losing 100 pounds, albeit not in a year and that's a different story for a different blog.
I'm going to attempt to read 2-3 books a week.
They'll be adult fiction, young adult fiction, and possibly some historical fictions (obvs, I'm a big fan of fiction!). There are some books that I've read before that I plan on re-reading and yes I will be including those in my count.
I've already read 4 books since January 1st and I'm currently in the middle of number 5.
I will make individual posts about each book that I read (or have read for the 4 I've already read) with my thoughts and possibly a brief summary (or just the summary on the back of the book!)
