Back Cover Summary:
Since her parents' bitter divorce, McLean and her dad, a restaurant consultant, have been on the move-four towns in two years. Estranged from her mother and her mother's new family, McLean has followed her dad in leaving the unhappy past behind. And each new place gives her a chance to try out a new persona: from cheerleader to drama diva. But now, for the first time, McLean discovers a desire to stay in one place and just be herself, whoever that is. Perhaps Dave, the guy next door, can help her find out.
My Review:
Ahh, a Sarah Dessen novel I hadn't read yet. This book is right up there on the pedestal that I put all of Dessen's works on. I really enjoyed the plot here and felt all the emotions that McLean felt while traveling around the country with her dad and arguing with her mom.
I felt that the relationship with Dave was kind of thrown in, but I wanted it to happen so I can't really complain.
Once again, all the characters were lovable (except for Heather).
Lakeview was the perfect town-- as usual.
Everybody was happy.

Overall:
I give it a 4 out of 5
